As part of your submission, you will need to submit a coaching application form (links below) and supporting letter outlining why you would like to be a coach in 2025.
All Coaches must hold appropriate NRL Coaching Accreditations specific to the age group you are coaching, having had completed the relevant online & face to face course (if face to face courses have not yet been completed, you must show confirmation of your booking to attend an upcoming face to face course). You must also have a current WWC number & have had completed all mandatory online NRL volunteer courses prior to pre season training commencement.

FIRST TRIALS FOR 2024 LOCKED IN

Sunday March 3rd, Morry Breen OvalWe are lucky enough to have been able to secure some trial matches against Wyong on Sunday March 3rd up at Morry Breen Oval at Wyong.
Being so early in the season and because most mini teams across the coast havenโt yet started training, this trial is only being offered to the following age groups;
U12 – U17 TACKLEU15 & U17 FEMALE TACKLEU14, U16 FEMALE LEAGUE TAG(Game times are TBC)
YOU MUST BE FULLY REGISTERED TO PARTICIPATE IN TRIALS. IF YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO PLAY
We are coordinating a number of upcoming trials where all age groups will have the opportunity to participate, so stay tuned and keep your eyes on our socials for dates and details when they are confirmed.

Community Coaching courses are now LIVE & bookable. Please be aware that it is a NSWRL requirement that all JRL coaches are fully accredited by having completed their Community Coaching courses and have a valid Working With Childrenโs Number. Without these compliances in place, you will not be permitted to coach your team.
Coast Course locations and dates are;Wyong – Monday 29th April (U6-U12)
Wyong – Monday 6th May (U13-U18)
Erina – Sunday 12th May (both ages)
The Entrance – Sunday 26th May (both ages)

Kincumber Colts JRLFC AGM – Monday 30th October
A reminder that the Kincumber Colts Juniors AGM (Annual General Meeting) will be held tonight (Monday 30th October 2023) at 6pm in the MacKillop Oval Clubhouse.
All positions are available. If youโd like to be part of a great family orientated club, come down and join the Juniors committee where our goal is to provide the best for our players and members.
Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Player Development Framework – Changes to our game in 2023
The Tackle Ready Program for Under 7s will be facilitated by Tackle Ready Deliverers at our Club during Under 7s training.ย It is a 6-week structured program which takes the players through safe tackling technique.ย Post 1st June the League will host an Under 7s Tackle Gala Day and the remainder of the season will be played as tackle.
Development Competitions will be phased in over the next 3 years where in 2025 it will represent ages U6 – U12.
Q. Why are these changes being implemented in 2023
A. Participation numbers are on the decline with statistics supporting that our game is not growing in NSW like other sports. The Player Development Framework was implemented in QLD in 2019 with statistics showing a clear increase in participation across all junior age groups. Extensive research over the past 4 years supports this Framework as best practice and will aid the growth of our game.ย
Q. What are the primary Objectives of the framework
A. Attract and retain participation, Foster Personal Development, Transition and nurture performance
Q. Why Tag Rugby League
A. Alleviates concerns regarding player safety, negates issues relating to differences in size, encourages more kids to try Rugby League at an early age, provides a less intimidating start for smaller children and gives kids the time to learn the basics without the complexities involved with tackling.
Q. Why Development Competitions
A. Provides an inclusive environment, delays early specialisation, reduces a pressurised environment, better caters for varied development levels, improves sideline behaviourย and creates a more positive environment, allows coaches to focus more on development as opposed to just winning.
